November 2025 Business Spotlight | Better To Give Gifts

At Eterno Realty Group, we believe deeply in celebrating the people who make our community feel like home. Today, we’re honored to shine a light on a business that’s built on kindness, connection, and intentionality - Better to Give, founded and owned by Watkinsville local, Kacina Hewell.

For Kacina, gifting has always been more than a transaction. It’s a heartfelt way to show love, appreciation, and encouragement - a chance to brighten someone’s day in the most meaningful way. After years of being the go-to gift-giver among her friends and family, she launched Better to Give in 2021 with one vision: to help people express care through thoughtfully curated, personalized gifts.

Meet Kacina Hewell: A Heart for Service, Family, and Community

A resident of Oconee County for 30 years, Kacina is deeply rooted in the community she loves. She married her high school sweetheart in 2009, is a proud UGA alum and Sigma Kappa member, and now spends her days soaking up sweet moments with her two children. Whether she’s shuttling between kids’ activities, walking with friends, diving into a good book, or cheering on the Dawgs in the fall, family life is at the center of everything she does.

Kacina and her family attend Watkinsville First Baptist Church, where their faith guides their relationships, their work, and the way they serve others. That same heart for service is woven beautifully into her business.

A Business Built on Thoughtfulness

From small tokens of appreciation to elaborate gift baskets, every creation from Better to Give is crafted with purpose. Kacina’s attention to detail is what sets her apart — she listens carefully to her clients, learns about the recipient, and designs a gift that feels deeply personal.

Her mission is simple:

Make gifting easy, meaningful, and memorable.

Clients consistently describe her business in one word: helpful. With busy schedules and full plates, having someone who can bring a thoughtful vision to life feels like a gift in itself.

Kacina is proud of staying true to her creative vision, even as her business has grown. She’s built something that reflects who she is — intentional, caring, and committed to making others feel seen.

Lessons Learned & Wisdom Shared

Running Better to Give has been full of growth and grace. The biggest lesson Kacina has learned along the way? “Focus on what is important to you and don’t take things personally.”

It’s a reminder that applies to business, but also to life.

One piece of advice that has shaped her journey comes from her mother:

“Don’t give others the power over you.”

Be confident. Be yourself. And don’t let the comments or actions of others change who you are.

It’s wisdom she carries with her, and pours into her work.

Looking Ahead

As for the future of Better to Give, Kacina is staying open-handed and faith-led. She hopes to continue growing, serving her clients, and exploring new opportunities. But ultimately, she’s trusting the path God lays before her.

A Season of Gratitude

When asked what she’s especially grateful for, Kacina didn’t hesitate - this sweet season of motherhood.

With her kids in the later elementary years, life is busy, joyful, and full of memories in the making. She’s soaking it all in: the fun, the chaos, and the moments she knows will pass all too quickly.
