At just 22 years old, Lindsey May is proving that creativity, discipline, and purpose can coexist - beautifully. Based in Athens, Georgia, Lindsey is the founder of Lindsey Elizabeth Creative, a multifaceted business specializing in photography, events, and social media management.

From capturing once-in-a-lifetime wedding days to managing digital brands and executing seamless events, Lindsey’s approach to her work is rooted in one word: intentional.

“You can hire any photographer to photograph your moments,” she says. “But my approach isn’t to just take photos - it’s to capture moments and tell stories. I want to know my clients and their heart.”

A Journey Fueled by Creativity

Lindsey’s creative journey began early - in middle school - when she picked up a camera for the first time while helping with her youth group’s social media. What started as curiosity quickly became a calling. Through countless YouTube tutorials and hours of practice, she developed a unique editing style and eye for storytelling that set her apart.

After studying Marketing and Digital Media at the University of North Georgia, Lindsey began using her gifts to serve small businesses, churches, and nonprofits, helping them tell their stories through photography and social media.

“I love connecting with people,” she shares. “Understanding who they are, not just what they do, helps me create with purpose.”

The Many Hats of a Creative Entrepreneur

While Lindsey’s business is thriving, she also pours her energy into roles that allow her to build community in Athens. She currently serves as:

On weekends, she’s often behind the camera, capturing weddings and special events. “It sounds like a lot, and it is,” Lindsey laughs, “but I’ve learned to build systems and create space for what matters most. All of the things I do fill me up.”

A Heart for Moments that Matter

From emotional wedding days to milestone celebrations, Lindsey’s gift lies in finding beauty in the in-between - the quiet, candid, joy-filled moments that tell a story words can’t.

Beyond photography, she thrives in event design and coordination, from floral design and signage to full-scale event planning. Working directly with venues and couples has given her experience coordinating over 20 weddings and assisting in more than 50 others, each one a new opportunity to bring a vision to life.

Learning to Say “No” - and Finding Balance

Like many creative entrepreneurs, Lindsey admits that setting boundaries was a journey.

“I used to say yes to everything - every project, every weekend, every opportunity,” she says. “But I learned that burnout doesn’t lead to better work. Learning to say no, to protect my peace, and to show up fully for my marriage, friends, and clients has been the biggest lesson in business.”

Now, she strives for balance - creating room for life outside of work while pursuing her purpose with excellence.

Building Toward the Future

Officially celebrating one year as an LLC, Lindsey is looking ahead with big dreams. Her long-term vision? To grow Lindsey Elizabeth Creative into a full-service creative agency, where a team of passionate creatives can collaborate to serve brands and couples across the Southeast.

“I’d love for everything I do - photography, events, and social media - to come under one umbrella,” she says. “To create a space where creativity meets intentionality.”

Rooted in Faith and Gratitude

At the core of Lindsey’s work is her faith. “Give it all to God,” she says — a piece of advice she carries into every aspect of her business and life.

When asked what she’s most grateful for, her answer is simple: “My husband, Walker. He believes in me more than I do, and that changes everything.”
